SNAP Education

snap-produce-image  We have had an outstanding community garden project; from which  the community engagement yielded successful lifestyle changes in regards to planting, harvesting, nutrition classes (2 SnapEd and Faithful Families). The core group of participants  were Disabled Veteran chapter 98, Senior Citizens, Mental Challenged Disabled and children. I am thankful for the opportunity to bring health and wellness awareness and for UNC SnapED program to the above participant who all expressed sincere appreciation. In addition media impact was great and thanks, to Surge radio, 100.5 and 710 am and Duplin Times. Jasime and Leitha interviews were amazing and great. Our engagement with the children has also been impactful. See pictures of children at the garden during our recent Back to School Oral Health Fresh Start and other amazing images. Thanks, Bret, Rev.Kernary, Jasime, Leitha, Travis Greer and Chris.
